The State Diagnostic Laboratories are a program of the State of Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries. All hiring is conducted through the State of Alabama Merit System, administered by the State Department of Personnel. Job researched and application obtained at State Personnel Web Site.

State Merit System classifications assigned to the laboratories include Administrative Support Assistant, Chemist, Histotechnician, Laboratory Technician, Microbiologist, and Veterinary Diagnostic Specialist. Multiple options and classifications exist with each classification.

Histotechnician Position Available

The Auburn Lab has a position open for a Histotechnician. To qualify, applicants must have Histotechnician or Histotechnologist certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
